#DieEntscheidung - digital public viewing
Thanks for the impulses!
Thanks for the ideas!
Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the support!
Thank you for everything!
We have been carried on a wave of enthusiasm for the past few days, weeks, months and years. We rocked the application process together!
And now, at the end of the day, Corona destroys that togetherness: In the end, we actually stand without you ... in front of the screen, to decide and afterwards!
Right HERE, NOW of all things, without EVERYONE!
The number of corona infections increases more every day. Therefore there will be no public viewing.
There is a live stream of the Kulturstiftung der Länder and, at least a small consolation, our digital public viewing: Together digitally to the European Capital of Culture 2025.
You don't want to or can't take part in the digital public viewing, but still want to support us? Then post your pictures, videos and statements under the hashtag #DieEntscheidung on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram - we look forward to every single message and every fingers crossed on the way to becoming the European Capital of Culture 2025!
The digital public viewing
Here you will find all information about our digital public viewing.
At home, in the office or wherever: Experience the decision with us, at least digitally.
The team for the 2025 Capital of Culture application will experience the decision together with Mayor Belit Onay and press representatives in the town hall hall. And if we can't hug each other together, then we want to at least have you digitally with us: Here, now, everyone!
You will be in the forefront next to our team leaders Melanie Botzki and Inga Samii, as well as Lord Mayor Belit Onay. On monitors, within a video conference.
The live stream for #DieEntscheidung starts at 12:50 p.m., the press conference at 1 p.m. - and you can already be part of our digital public viewing from 12:45 p.m. How? Find out below!
On Wednesday, October 28th, 2020 from 12:45 p.m., you will find a link to a Zoom meeting on this page. You can open this link in your browser. Allow your browser to use your camera and microphone.
As soon as you have entered the video conference, you are visible to everyone, but your microphone is still switched off, so you cannot be heard. Only the European Capital of Culture application team can turn on your microphone, you have to confirm this if you want to.
If you have problems with your camera or microphone, you can find help here if you use the Zoom app. If you want to join via the browser, please check your system or data protection settings to see whether the camera and microphone are enabled for use via the browser. You can find more help here for Windows, here for macOS.
By participating in the digital public viewing by opening the link to the video conference, you accept the data protection guidelines of the American company Zoom Video Communications, Inc. You can read it here.
By participating in the digital public viewing, you are aware that photos and / or video recordings will be made as part of the decision and that you are in some cases clearly shown in these photos. You agree to the recordings.
Your consent is valid without restriction for private and / or commercial use - publication, distribution, use, processing and passing on - in digital and print form by the state capital of Hanover, the cultural capital application team and any follow-up companies, as well as by representatives of the press. Your consent is not limited in time or place and applies to all forms of distribution and publication.
At this point, you waive the future assertion of injunctive relief against the aforementioned use of your images.
